Christmas Gift Tags

I must say, I love, LOVE chocolate chip and real red (ink from Stampin Up!) together; they are the perfect pair! In my opinion, of course.
Now that I have Stamp-a-ma-Jig, I won't have the off center image like above but... of course I meant to do it this way, this time! Of course I did!
And, don't forget Dasher!! He's so fancy!!
And that ribbon is left over from our wedding... mmm.
And, the Delightful Decorations Ornament punch!! Talk about making cool tags, fast!!

I made all these tags for my Grandma's birthday last year. I think I got alot of my love for crafts from her so I knew she would LOVE a tin o' tags for her birthday... And she did; she said she used them all!!! (I guess she knows what she's getting next year for her birthday!)

Christmas Card

Nope, I'm not this far ahead... yet!
This is a card from a 6-pack I made for my Grandma's Church Bazaar last fall.

Other than the thank you cards for our wedding, this was one of the first cards I had made.
Not too shabby for a beginner if I do say so!

I cut the snowman out with my Cricut, pieced the scarf and hat with random paper from my stash. The eyes are brads from my stash and I embossed the snowflakes from SU's Serene Snowflakes set (I must say... I LOVE that set!!).

Challenges??

I am thinking of branching out and playing along with some more challenges. Right now, I play pretty regularly over at CardMaker. Where is your favorite place to play?

I'm the hostess!!!

My first EVER!! I'm the hostess over at Cardmaker for the weekly challenge:
I decided to repurpose a few things we had just laying around the house:
This was a galvanized bucket from our local Establishment. I covered it with paper and Modgepodge. I also added strips of ribbon to the handle... pretty cute if I do say so myself!!

I love Laughing Cow cheese! The product comes in the above pictured, cute little paper container. The containers are as fun to me as the cheese is good. I have been thinking of something I could do with/to them short of tossing them in the recycle.

So, of course, I decided to cover them with paper! Luckily, they are exactly 4" across the top. Hello George (shapes cartridge for my Cricut)!!

I covered the top and bottom "inserts" with pearl-escent paper, inked the edges and added an embelishment (Thanks again George!). I also inked the edges of the top pearl flower using my Stampin' Write markers (can't really tell from the picture).

I think it turned out pretty cute. I think I will use it for a gift box...
now what to "gift" and to whom???

It's...Well, it was Lora's Birthday!

I made these cute little inchies for my good friend, Lora, for her birthday earlier this month. Happy Birthday Lora!!
*Cardstock and DSP are "That's Amore" pack from Close to my Heart... very cute!
*Stamps: Inkadinkado "Butterflies and Birds" (my first acrylic set!!). I must admit, I really like this set! I got it especially for an inchie swap I was in at CardMaker and, well, for Lora's birthday!

First Ever! CardMaker Sketch Challenge!!

This is a card I made for a new Sketch challenge over at CardMaker. I cased the "quilt look" from Mel O'Donnell. I just loved it! BTW-- this is my first "sketch"... I like it! I attempted to ink the edges of the "quilt"... I'm not a huge fan of that technique on this paper.

The Good Stuff:
Paper, ribbon and brads... from my stash
Sentiment: Teeny Tiny Wishes from Stampin UP
Other: Sizzix book plate (brown part around the sentiment)

Pizza Box-Box

This is a box that I created for a challenge over at CardMaker. I am going to give this to my Grandma Uptergrove for Easter. She loves crafts!! I was thinking the other day... some of my earliest memories of Grandma and Nana are of us making crafts after church and dinner on Sunday afternoons.... so that's where I get this madness!!

Cooper's Birthday

Cooper's 2nd birthday would have been tomorrow. His momma, my good-good friend, Leslie, often called him a "little monkey" so I made her this card.

We are all getting together tomorrow for a memorial baloon release then supper and socializing which probably means several laugh-until-you-almost-pee moments... but they are the spice of life!

So little man, I know that a birthday party with God beats a party with us anyday but our hearts are still broken.
